 WHFMS

 The Women's Home and Foreign Mission Society (WHFMS) is open for all ladies, and they
meet on the third Friday of each month, in member's homes.  Meetings include food, a devotion given by a member, and other activities.  They also have a Bible Study on the first Monday of each month.

WHFMS Mission Statement: “to equip, encourage and enable Advent Christian women to use their gifts and opportunities to sha the Good News of Jesus Christ faithfully, urgently and sacrificially until he comes."

Special Event !!

The scheduled WHFMS 2010/2011 Quilt and Craft Days are September 11, October 2, November 13 and January 8, 2011.  All are welcome from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a cost of $15. Snacks and refreshments will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring a little something to share (food).

The Woman’s Home and Foreign Mission Society is…

Women who pray because:

People  are discouraged;

People are filled with despair;

People need to hear about Jesus;

People need prayer support in their work;

People need to experience God’s love.

The WHFMS is a concerned group of approximately 5,000 women scattered across the United States and Canada who realize that people are in need. They find various ways to meet needs through personal involvement and prayer. One constant and persistent goal of the WH&FMS is to unite in a fellowship of prayer. They believe in promises of God to hear and answer prayer. This is the reason they unite in prayer for the needs of people around the world.

Daily prayer calendars unite women in WH&FMS as they pray for missionaries and foreign mission work, denominational leaders, and programs of vital importance, the regional and conference leaders’ programs, community needs, the local church and pastor, and many other concerns.

Monthly “Prayer & Praise” bulletins unite the WH&FMS for specific current needs within the denomination, such as the safe return of a missionary, the summer youth camps, that God will direct in securing leaders for various agencies of the denomination, and for the healing of the sick.

The WH&FMS is made up of women who know the meaning of prayer and recognize it as an unending source of  strength.  For additional information e-mail whfms@churchofthehighland.org
